Dr. Barrera is devoted to helping patients feel confident, radiant, and proud of their smiles. Known for her warm presence and meticulous attention to detail, she cares for individuals and families with a calming, patient-first philosophy—always prioritizing comfort, trust, and an elevated experience from start to finish.

With a unique background that blends both art and science, Dr. Barrera earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, developing the aesthetic foundation that continues to shape her approach to cosmetic dentistry. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010, where she was honored with the Award for Clinical Excellence. During her training, she participated in multiple outreach initiatives, providing compassionate dental care to underserved communities. 

Driven by a passion for smile design, Dr. Barrera focuses on modern cosmetic treatments—including veneers, bonding, whitening, and minimally invasive restorations. Her work is guided by an artistic eye and a commitment to creating naturally beautiful results that complement each patient’s features. She believes that exceptional cosmetic dentistry blends precision, aesthetics, and an understanding of each patient’s unique vision. 

Dr. Barrera is an active member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is dedicated to ongoing education and continually advances her expertise in the latest cosmetic and restorative innovations. 

Outside the office, her love for painting and drawing continues to inspire her clinical artistry. She also values community involvement and is passionate about giving back through programs that expand access to quality dental care.
